Veterans make up 13% of the population in San Diego, which has the 3rd largest population of Veterans in the United States. Veterans need extra help due to the traumas of military service and the difficult transition back to civilian life.

Meet The Presenters:

Jay Wylie and Ron Stark have been working with San Diego Community as part of the San Diego Veterans Coalition to bring Veterans the help they need and to educate the community on how to best help veterans they may encounter.

Jay Wylie served as a Naval Officer for 22 years, and is now a ‘Veteran-in-recovery’ and the Operations Manager of Confidential Recovery. He is also on the board of The Veterans Navigaiton Center.

Ron Stark is a veteran of the Vietnam Era, the Cold War Era, Desert Shield, and Desert Storm. He has served veterans and their families for over 19 years beginning at Vietnam Veterans of San Diego (1994-2000) and Mental Health Systems (2000-present).

Mr. Stark is well-known and respected throughout the San Diego County and elsewhere, and has become a “go-to guy” on myriad veteran-related and other projects from inception to implementation and operation. He was the 2012-2013 San Diego County Veteran of the Year, and  actively participates in the United Veterans Council of San Diego County.

We look forward to see you on August 31st at 10:00 AM.  Please RSVP here!
