Local newsman Marty Levin is retired after more than 30 years in San Diego. He anchored his last broadcast in May 2010. His work has been honored with more than a dozen Emmy Awards and three Golden Mikes from the Radio and Television News Association of Southern California. In his four decades here, Levin has refereed contentious televised town-hall meetings, navigated election-night storms, and parsed the results of more airport-relocation studies than he can bear to remember. He has presided over the good, bad and wacky stories that have shaped our San Diego lives, but while the job is high profile, the man is not
